Job summary

New Appointments Group is seeking a reliable Yard Operative with a Counterbalance Forklift Licence for a role in Sandwich on a full-time basis. Start date is immediate with an initial temporary contract and strong potential for permanent employment for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Load and unload goods, materials, and deliveries both manually and using a forklift.
• Move products to and from storage areas.
• Carry out basic site and grounds maintenance (e.g. clearing debris, cutting grass, maintaining walkways).
• Support warehouse and yard operations as required.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met at all times.
• Use internal IT systems to record movements, complete basic documentation, and support operational reporting.

JOB VACANCY: Yard Operative with Forklift Licence

Location: Sandwich

Hours: Full-time | Monday to Friday, 07:30-16:00

Start Date: Immediate

Contract: Initially temporary, with strong potential for permanent employment for the right candidate

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative with a Forklift Licence to join our team in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklift safely and in accordance with company procedures
• Load and unload goods, materials, and deliveries both manually and using a forklift
• Move products to and from storage areas
• Carry out basic site and grounds maintenance (e.g. clearing debris, cutting grass, maintaining walkways)
• Support warehouse and yard operations as required
• Ensure health and safety standards are met at all times
• Use internal IT systems to record movements, complete basic documentation, and support operational reporting

Requirements:

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
• Valid driving licence would be preferred
• Previous experience in a similar industrial or warehouse environment
• Competent IT skills, with confidence using basic systems and electronic records
• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
