Job summary

Greener Power Solutions is seeking a hands-on Yard Operative to keep the Bristol yard safe, organised, and operational. You will unload batteries, prep units for dispatch, and support drivers with collection of equipment while ensuring proper stock organisation and safe handling of batteries.

The role offers forklift training opportunities and a strong emphasis on safety, with Monday–Friday on-site hours. Join a growing renewable-energy team and contribute to greener energy.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English with good communication skills.
• 0-2 years of experience in practical/operational/logistics roles.
• Held a valid driver's licence and be willing to obtain a forklift licence.

Responsibilities

• Unload batteries delivered by truck and prepare units for dispatch.
• Organise stock in the yard and support drivers collecting equipment.
• Manage incoming and outgoing orders and handle spare parts.
• Clean and inspect batteries and ensure safe storage and handling.

Our Service team plays a key role in ensuring our battery systems are ready, safe, and available for deployment to customers. From maintaining our equipment to managing logistics and supporting daily operations, the team helps keep projects powered across the UK. As a Yard Operative, you'll be responsible for keeping our Bristol yard safe, organised, and operational. Your day could start with unloading batteries delivered by truck, preparing units for dispatch, organising stock in the yard, and supporting drivers collecting equipment. You'll help manage incoming and outgoing orders, handle spare parts, clean and inspect batteries, and ensure everything is stored correctly and safely. You'll also learn how to operate a forklift and work with battery systems, gaining valuable experience in a rapidly growing sector. Safety is a top priority in this role, and you'll play an important part in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. Through your reliability, ownership, and willingness to get stuck in, you'll embody our core value we get it done.

Who are you?

• A true Greener – you want to make the world a bit better, you question the status quo, and you're always looking for ways to innovate and improve;
• 0-2 years of experience in a practical, operational, logistics, warehouse, technical, or similar role;
• Fluent in English;
• In possession of a valid driver's licence;
• Able and willing to obtain a forklift licence;
• Reliable, trustworthy, and consistent in the way you work;
• Comfortable working in a hands-on environment and committed to maintaining high safety standards;
• Based in or willing to commute to Bristol and available to work on-site Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 17:00.

Nice to have

• Experience in a warehouse, yard, logistics, or industrial environment;
• Exposure to electrical, engineering, or technical work;
• Basic experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
