Job summary

Cameron Clarke Associates t/a talent-finder is seeking a Yard Operative in Witham for a full-time role in an outdoor yard environment. You will pick stock for customer orders, process hire returns, and assist with loading/unloading vehicles while keeping the yard tidy and compliant with health and safety standards.

Desirable training to operate a forklift and prior yard or warehouse experience would be beneficial. The role offers a pension, on-site parking and a range of wellbeing benefits.

Responsibilities

• Pick stock for customer orders, ensuring correct quantity and quality, and securely band or wrap items for safe transportation.
• Process returned hire stock and accurately complete damage reports.
• Meet targets set by the Depot Manager or Supervisor efficiently.
• Operate a forklift truck or lorry loader, where externally trained, certificated and authorised.
• Ensure vehicles are loaded and unloaded safely and correctly, ensuring drivers are satisfied with their loads.
• Keep the yard tidy and organised, returning unpicked stock to the correct locations.
• Follow company health and safety policies, wear the correct PPE and comply with relevant procedures, legislation and risk assessments.
• Maintain the company's integrity and professional image at all times.

The Role

They are seeking a Yard Operative to work as part of a team in an outdoor yard environment. The role involves picking customer orders, processing hire returns, loading and unloading vehicles, and maintaining a tidy and organised yard.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick stock for customer orders, ensuring the correct quantity and quality, and securely band or wrap items for safe transportation
• Process returned hire stock and accurately complete damage reports
