Job summary

The Best Connection in Renfrew is seeking a General Yard Operative for a full-time role. You will join a busy yard team handling materials and supporting site operations with a real possibility of becoming permanent.

The job offers a 45-hour week at £12.71 per hour, Monday to Friday, with typical early finish on Fridays. You'll gain hands-on experience in sorting materials, keeping the yard tidy, and following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and OK with manual work and long periods on your feet.
• Must pass a Drugs & Alcohol test before starting.
• Yard, labouring, or recycling experience a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Sorting and organising materials (plastic, aluminium, stainless steel & copper)
• Keeping the yard clean, tidy & safe
• Moving materials around site safely
• Assisting team members with general duties
• Following Health & Safety procedures and wearing PPE
