Travis Perkins plc is seeking a Yard Customer/Sales Expert to greet customers in our yard, process orders and help load/unload vehicles. You’ll contribute to a safe, tidy yard and deliver first-class service on a day-to-day basis.

This role emphasizes great customer service, relationship building and teamwork. Training is provided for forklift use, with emphasis on safety and efficiency in a dynamic branch environment.

Qualifications

• Must provide excellent customer service and build strong customer relationships.
• Able to work as part of a team and communicate face to face with customers.
• Experience of outdoor, physically active work and lifting materials.

Joining our friendly and hard working family as aYard Customer/Sales Expert, you’ll be on the front line dealing with our customers that come into our yard; playing a vital role in our continued success, providing a first class service and keeping colleagues and customers safe at all times.

What will I be doing?

No one day is the same as the next in TP branch life, but here are a few pointers:

• Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so it’s essential that you can help deliver the highest standards of service - the key thing is to be helpful and friendly, you will likely get to know our customers on a first name basis.
• You will be based outside, processing our customer orders (including those from some of our larger customers), loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.
• You will also unload our building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse.
• Experience of using a forklift is ideal, but don't worry full training is provided
• Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, this means maintaining a tidy and safe working environment

This is a key customer facing role, you need the ability to providegreat customer service, build and develop effective customer relationships and work as part of a team. We can teach you the rest.
