Job summary

MKM is seeking a yard operative to join our external team. You will perform multi drop deliveries, assist in the yard, and ensure customers receive excellent service on a daily basis. A full UK driving licence is essential, and a counterbalance forklift licence is a plus.

You will be part of a close team, with weekends alternate Saturdays required. We offer a competitive pay package, staff discounts, training opportunities, and a supportive pension plan.

In this role you will work as part of our external team of staff. Saturday working is a requirement for this position, and you will be expected to work alternate Saturday mornings throughout the year.

Responsibilities and Duties

You will be required to work as part of the Yard Team but also be required to be flexible and make multi drop deliveries to our customers in the surrounding area driving the van/pickup vehicles. When in the yard you will: -

• Assist customers.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Load and unload vehicles.
• Pick and check orders.
• Store stock safely.
• Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• This varied role will also require working in the warehouse assisting with customer orders.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential for this role.
• A Counterbalance Forklift Licence is preferred.
• Building industry knowledge would be an advantage.
