An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Radiographer with an interest in Interventional Radiology and General Radiology to work within the Radiology Department at Liverpool University Hospital Foundation Trust (Royal Liverpool University Hospital site).
The post is ideal for a suitably experienced professional to extend their skills and experience whilst working in a truly team‑based environment. It is essential that you are able to work flexibly according to the needs of the service and that you can multitask in demanding circumstances.
The role is primarily based within the IR department, supporting General X‑ray as required, with the option to specialise solely in Interventional Radiology as the service expands.
The role requires working as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality imaging while ensuring Trust values are adhered to.
All Radiographic staff are responsible for reporting equipment faults and liaising with clinical teams. Various shared responsibilities include PPE audit, QA, and day‑to‑day running of the department.
When working in general X‑ray, you may be required to support Area Leads and acts as the general department lead in their absence, as well as assist with the development of Band 5 Radiographers and ensure compliance with protocols.
The Interventional Department has 2 IR suites, 1 ultrasound/multipurpose room and an Interventional CT scanner.
