Job summary

Cornerstone Community Care in Tarland is seeking a compassionate carer to support an elderly gentleman at home for 4 hours each week following a dementia diagnosis. Tarland has an infrequent bus service; your own transport would be necessary. PVG Membership will be required.

The hours can be worked either as 2 hours on both Thursday and Friday, starting at 9am or 10am, or as a single 4-hour shift on Friday, starting at 9am or 10am. Alternative working patterns will be considered, and hours and days can be discussed with the employer at interview

We are looking for someone to support an elderly gentleman in his home for 4 hours every week following a diagnosis of dementia.

The carer will play a key role in maintaining the gentleman's independence and promoting his safety within his home, while also giving his wife peace of mind that he is safe, comfortable, and well supported.

The applicant must be dependable and reliable to build a trusting relationship with the gentleman.
