Job description

At Anglian Water, we’re looking to recruit a Fleet Controller to manage day‑to‑day fleet activities, ensuring compliance with our Operators licence and that the internal fleet achieves its performance targets. You will provide feedback and analysis on all vehicle and plant aspects of the operation, monitor operational vehicle/plant costs and maintenance contracts, promote a safe working culture, and drive performance within the team. You will play a pivotal part in transporting water recycling by‑products around the region from treatment centres to farmers while protecting the environment by minimising flooding and pollution risks.

Qualifications
  • Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
  • Previous traffic or general logistics experience is highly desirable
  • Excellent IT skills – experience with Microsoft Office suite is essential; any use of a CRM or Database system would transfer well
  • Ability to plan, organise and monitor fleet compliance related activities
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Resilience and the ability to challenge and question stakeholders is essential
Responsibilities
  • Ensure systems are administered to provide accurate Working Time Directive and compliance data
  • Produce reports highlighting errors/issues to the Fleet Manager/Planning Manager, including VOR reporting, daily compliance monitoring inspection, error corrections within fleet management systems, vehicle pre‑use check records and errors
  • Ensure all instructions to drivers & actions by drivers comply with current legislation & internal procedures; report non‑compliance
  • Report compliance with the Operator’s License
  • Log and feedback on vehicle accidents including all relevant accident reports and repair estimates
  • Administration of fuel cards, and bulk fuel bunkering facilities were appropriate
