Friendly Breakfast and After School Club Playworker

Do you enjoy working with children? Would you like to be part of an enthusiastic team in our friendly wrap‑around care club? Coombe Connections Club is a Breakfast and After School Club based at Coombe Hill Infants’ and Junior Schools in Kingston. We have a caring, enthusiastic team looking after children from 4‑11 years in a safe, inclusive and fun environment. We are looking for someone who loves interacting positively with children and who is caring, creative and highly motivated.

The role:

  • Responsibilities: Help prepare a fun and safe environment for play sessions, set up a range of appropriate and stimulating resources, and help children develop their social skills and make friends. Interaction with children is key to this position and a desire to create a fun, stimulating environment.
  • Hours: Breakfast Club 7:30 am–9:00 am; After School Club 2:30 pm–5:30 pm. The position is for after‑school club five days per week and breakfast club five days per week, term time only.
  • Training: Staff will receive safeguarding and child protection training.

We will have extensive grounds where children can play football, basketball, use outdoor play equipment and sometimes use the outdoor pool in summer.
