Job summary

FCMS is seeking a Registered Nurse (Wound Care) to provide wound assessment and management across clinics in Fleetwood, Freckleton and St Annes. The role reports to the Clinical Manager for Lancashire Place Based Care and offers a salary around £15.88–£19.33 per hour, 22.5 hours weekly, and an emphasis on patient education and service development.

You will work within a team to deliver evidence-based wound care, refer to wider community teams as needed, and participate in audits and mandatory

Qualifications

• Active NMC registration.
• Experience in wound care.
• Completed the wound care alliance training.
• Adaptable to service need and requirements on a day-to-day basis.
• Flexible to the needs of the service.
• Ability to work as a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of communication in written and oral form.
• Assess wounds and select appropriate dressings per local formulary and guidelines.
• Prescribe safely within competency framework and undertake prescribing audits.
• Assess patients autonomously within scope of practice.
• Promote infection control and contribute to audits to improve service provision.
• Maintain and update patient records using ADASTRA and Cyberlab where applicable.
