Holy Trinity Wandsworth in SW London invites an experienced worship leader to join our team. The role focuses on growing our worship ministry, leading services alongside the Vicar and nurturing volunteers. Responsibilities

• Develop, plan and lead services with the Vicar, emphasizing contemporary worship.
• Lead the music team – building, coordinating and motivating volunteers.
• Remain up to date with new songs to keep our repertoire fresh.
• Coordinate with musicians and organise special services (e.g. Christmas, Easter).
• Play a few songs at Trinity Tots on Monday mornings.
• Understand the subtle differences between our congregations and lead worship accordingly.
• Work with staff team and be based primarily in the Church Office.
• Assist with another area of ministry in the church as agreed with the Vicar.
• Half of the role is to head up Worship & AV; the other half would be focused on another ministry area; if only Worship & AV, part-time.

Job description

We are looking for someone to grow our worship at Holy Trinity Wandsworth. Holy Trinity Wandsworth is in SW London (Zone 2) with a mission to know Christ and to make Him known to the people of SW London. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a heart for seeing people encounter God through praise and playing an active part in this next season of the church.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan and lead services with the Vicar that are engaging, meaningful and in line with the theology and values of HTW, with an emphasis on contemporary worship.
• Lead the music team – building, coordinating and motivating both musicians and the AV team, all volunteers.
• Remain up to date with new songs to keep our repertoire fresh.
• Ensure new people are brought in, encouraged and trained as appropriate.
• Coordinate with musicians and organise special services e.g. Christmas, Easter.
• Play a few songs at Trinity Tots on a Monday morning.
• Understand the subtle differences between our congregations and lead worship in a way that takes those differences seriously and also grows our love for God and whole‑life worship.
• Work with staff team and be based primarily in the Church Office.
• Assist with another area of ministry in the church (e.g. Youth, Young Adults, Pastoral Care, Discipleship) as agreed with the Vicar. Scope of ministry area would depend on the candidate’s skills and giftings and areas of focus would be agreed on before starting.

Half of the role is to head up Worship & AV. The other half would be focused on another ministry area (e.g. Youth, Young Adults). The role would be Part Time if the candidate is only running Worship & AV.

No deadline – will close when we find a suitable candidate. Aiming for an Autumn 2026 start.
