Job summary

BCA Portbury is seeking a Workshop Supervisor (Ready to Sell) to lead the RTS team, ensuring all technical operations meet SLA and RUK quality standards.

You'll manage planning, scheduling, audits, and efficiency, while developing staff and maintaining health and safety culture across the depot. This permanent role offers a competitive salary up to £35k and benefits at the Portbury site.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a team.
• Flexible attitude toward all depot activities.
• Ability to work under pressure at peak periods.
• Prioritisation of tasks and information gathering.
• Good computer skills including MS Office and OEM systems.
• A technical background is desirable; training provided for customer specs.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Motivation for progression within the business.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead RTS planning and scheduling, including subcontract labour, workflow monitoring, Smart Repair coordination and KPI delivery.
• Drive audit and quality performance through AQIM, RUK audits and internal QC reviews, reporting findings and ensuring compliance.
• Support operational efficiency by reviewing productivity, utilisation, tooling needs and cost-effective practices.
• Champion people and process standards through training needs analysis, holiday planning and health & safety culture.
• Embed customer and ISO requirements across RTS operations and participate in cross-department meetings to identify improvements.

Location: BCA Portbury (Renault)

Working Hours: Standard Hours 7.30 - 15.30 Monday to Friday

During busy period expectation to work 8 hours between 06.00 and 18.00 each day as required

Main purpose of the role:

Reporting to the Workshop Operations Manager, you will play a key role in supervising and leading the RTS Team. They will assist in ensuring that all Technical operations performed by the RTS team are completed within the contractual SLA's and lead times and fully comply with RUK quality standards and requirements.

Role Duties:

• Lead RTS planning & scheduling, including subcontract labour, workflow monitoring, Smart Repair coordination and daily/weekly KPI delivery
• Drive audit & quality performance through AQIM, RUK audits and internal QC reviews, presenting findings and ensuring full compliance
• Support operational efficiency by reviewing productivity, utilisation, tooling requirements and cost‑effective working practices
• Champion people & process standards through training needs analysis, holiday planning, accurate staff records and strong Health & Safety culture
• Embed customer and ISO requirements across RTS operations, attending cross‑department meetings to identify improvements and resolve issues

Knowledge and experience we are looking for:

• Experience in supervising a team
• Have a flexible attitude towards all Depot activities
• Ability to work under pressure at Peak periods to meet vehicle ETA's etc.
• Prioritisation of tasks and collect information effectively
• Good computer skills with a knowledge and experience of manufacturers/OEM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• A good Technical background is desired but training will be provided on Customer specific requirements
• Be receptive to working overtime when required
• Has the motivation for progression within the business
• Full UK Driving Licence
