Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a Workshop Supervisor to lead a small team in a mechanical workshop, reading engineering drawings and ensuring on-time delivery with quality. The role offers a 4-day week (Mon-Thu), 7:20am-4:20pm, with a £40,000-£45,000 salary and private medical cover plus 32 days holiday.

You will oversee 3 engineers, manage parts inventory, and liaise with customers and suppliers on job progress.

Qualifications

• Background in manufacturing/mechanical engineering preferred.

Are you a Workshop Supervisor from a mechanical background who can read engineering drawings, looking for a new role overseeing a close-knit team, whilst working only 4 days a week?

In this workshop-based role you will be supervising 3 Engineers in a workshop, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are followed. You will also manage an inventory of parts, liaise with customers and suppliers on the progress of jobs, and occasionally travel to sites to assist in installations.

Founded 20 years ago this manufacturer have received heavy investment in recent years, with plans to double their turnover in the next 2 years. They supply their niche products into the water industry and are becoming market-leaders in their field.

This role would suit a Workshop Supervisor/Chargehand looking for a long-term position within a growing company they will be proud to work for.

The Role:
