Job summary

Nationwide Platforms Limited is seeking a Workshop Service Engineer to join our depot team. You will inspect, repair and maintain powered access machines such as booms and scissor lifts, with full training provided.

The role requires practical mechanical/electrical engineering experience, a good attitude, and a focus on safety and customer service. Perks include pension, life assurance, Westfield health care plan, and 25 days holiday; hours are Mon-Fri 8:00–17:30.

Qualifications

• Relevant general engineering maintenance qualification (NVQ level 3 or equivalent).
• Experience in diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostics fault finding.
• Mature outlook with ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
• Understand the importance of excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Service Engineer in the depot workshop operations.
• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of machines at client premises and depot, ensuring safety and reporting defects.
• Repair machines at depot or on site to meet specifications and policy.
• Complete planned maintenance and maintain fleet appearance to corporate standards.
• Handover machines to customers and explain safe operation and use.
• Act as company ambassador with high standards of customer care and communications.
• Complete paperwork (engineer reports, off hire, PDI and service sheets) accurately.
• Update system with machine status changes (PDI, under repair, inspections).
