Job summary

Mainline Group in Swadlincote, UK is seeking a Workshop PDI Checker to ensure powered access equipment is safe, compliant, and ready for customers. You will work in a fast-paced workshop with a supportive team, performing pre-delivery inspections and routine checks.

The role requires a relevant engineering qualification (mechanical or electrical) and the ability to work under pressure. Training is provided and there are opportunities for professional development within a growing company.

Qualifications

• Relevant Engineering Qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, or similar) desirable.
• Experience with access equipment (e.g., scissor lifts, boom lifts) desirable. Training provided.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive ‘can-do’ attitude to problem solving.
• Ability to prioritise tasks in an ever-changing demanding hire environment and work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Performing Pre‑Delivery Inspections (PDIs) to ensure all equipment meets safety and performance standards.
• Performing routine checks.
• Ensuring all equipment is clean, fully operational, and compliant with safety regulations.
• Working collaboratively with the engineering team to maintain high service levels.

Location: Swadlincote, DE11 9DF

Salary: £30,500 - £34,000 per annum

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: Weekdays Only, 7am-5pm or 6am-4pm (no weekends)
