Qualifications

Love inspecting, servicing, and repairing a wide variety of vehicles and plant?

We have the perfect job for you in one of our vehicle and plant workshops. You will join mechanics and supervisors, based at the Marsh Lane Workshop, Lymington. As a skilled HGV Mechanic in our expanding, in-house workshop facilities, the work will be varied.

This role is right up your street as it requires you to have varied skills to undertake routine servicing and maintenance, diagnosing faults on vehicles and plant and undertaking quality repairs. You will have the right industry recognised qualifications, served apprenticeship, with practical knowledge and experience working with a wide range of HGV’s, LCV’s, and plant, providing key services for the local community and businesses.

You will be an enthusiastic mechanic, a team player, with good communication skills and have a wide range of mechanical skills including welding, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems. Having experience in computerised diagnostic systems such as Texa, Jaltest or systems of a similar nature and the ability to trace and rectify intermittent and complex electronic faults as well as resolving other problems by designing and fabricating components to enable repairs to take place is important to us.

Your skills, Knowledge and development are important.

You will have good general education and completed a time served apprenticeship and/or be trained to City and Guilds Mechanics Certificate, IMI or B Tec equivalent. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in vehicle or plant repairs and maintenance is essential.

A valid driving license is required and preferably hold an HGV license and driver CPC certification. (HGV and CPC training will be provided if you are the right person).
