Overview

The Role: Silcom Recruitment is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to join a well-established motor trade business, based in Melksham. This is a hands-on role, and applications are encouraged from individuals with a strong mechanical background, proven workshop management experience, and the ability to lead a successful team while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the workshop, ensuring efficiency and profitability.
  • Lead, motivate, and support a team of technicians and service staff.
  • Carry out mechanical duties when required, ensuring work is completed to high standards.
  • Manage workflow, allocate jobs, and monitor work quality.
  • Maintain strong customer communication and resolve issues effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and industry standards.
Qualifications
  • Relevant mechanical qualifications and a valid UK driving licence are essential.
The Package
  • Basic Salary: Up to £46,000 (experience dependent)
  • Monday to Friday only, 8:30am - 5:30pm (no weekends)
