Overview

Hunter James Recruitment are assisting our client, a well-established organisation within the Commercial Vehicle (HGV) industry, with their search for a Workshop Manager to join their site in Bournemouth.

Responsibilities
  • Day to day management of the Workshop and Service department
  • Improve and optimise on standards / performance of the service team through effective performance management and development
  • Cultivate a successful business culture focused on customer service excellence, customer retention and new business for both workshop and parts
  • Optimize and improve customer service standards and ensure the departments run in accordance with company standards and key performance indicators
  • Operate to achieve a very high KPI standard, including MOT pass rate and breakdown results, while maintaining the company standards at all times
  • Increase efficiency, effectiveness and profitability of the depots
  • Regularly review resources to meet all servicing requirements and ensure KPIs are met – consistently reviewing labour efficiency, labour sales, cost of sales and debtors
  • Carry out internal audits to ensure depots are compliant with ISO standards and Health & Safety requirements
  • Reporting directly to directors and keeping all parties updated with clear, ongoing communication
  • Maximise commercial opportunities through developing and implementing improvement initiatives
