Qualifications

  • Full UK Driving Licence required.
  • Motor Industry experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to work to timescales effectively.
  • Keen eye for detail and good communication skills.
  • Experience in a main dealer environment is preferred.
  • Strong industry knowledge necessary.
  • Ability to work under pressure is important.

  • Identify & implement long-term training activities for workshop colleagues.
  • Carry out warranty repairs as directed.
  • Maintain a resource plan for the workshop.
  • Ensure correct planning of facilities and tools.
  • Employ and develop an induction plan for new staff.
  • Manage, coach and motivate employees.
  • Define target agreements with employees.
  • Monitor and optimise productivity of employees.
  • Ensure job time planning is carried out correctly.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations.

What you’ll do day to day
  • Identify & implement the long term planning of future training activities for workshop colleagues.
  • Carry out warranty repairs as directed, returning displaced material to the correct location and in correct condition.
  • Compiling and maintaining a resource plan for the workshop and developing concepts and measures for load optimisation
  • Ensuring planning for facilities, bays, machines, tools, diagnosis installations, etc. is carried out correctly; optimal design of workplaces and processes
  • Employing new staff and developing an induction plan
  • Managing, coaching and motivating employees and thus ensuring a high quality of employees
  • Defining target agreements with employees and reviewing the level of target achievement through regular 1-2-1’s.
  • Monitoring and optimising productivity and performance of employees
  • Ensuring job time planning and task allocation for workshop is carried out correctly
  • Monitoring compliance with all statutory regulations * Ensuring quality control of all completed tasks
