Job description

Our client is a leading a supplier for telehandlers and roto telehandlers to the construction industry and they are looking for a Workshop Manager to join their Bedford Depot and take ownership of all workshop operations.

In this role, you'll report directly to the Depot Manager and lead a skilled team of Fitters and Yard Staff.

You'll ensure their equipment is maintained to the highest standards, ready for hire, and fully compliant with industry regulations. From planning daily workloads to upholding safety and 5S standards, you'll play a vital role in delivering operational excellence.

Workshop Manager Job Overview
  • Lead, manage, and develop the workshop and yard teams.
  • Schedule, assign, and review planned maintenance activities including PDI's, LOLER inspections, and general repairs.
  • Ensure timely turnaround of equipment to meet customer demand.
  • Maintain strong workshop stock control and ordering processes.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with Depot and National Operations Managers to maximize fleet availability.
  • Deputise for the Depot Manager when required.
