A leading engineering services company in Great Yarmouth is seeking a Workshop Lead Technician responsible for overseeing mechanical maintenance work. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical maintenance expertise and experience in team leadership. Scantech Offshore part of the James Fisher Group, provide an impressive range of rental equipment, including air compressors, steam generators and rig cooling services, as well as designing, installing and commissioning bespoke heat suppression safety systems.

The Workshop Lead Technician is responsible for overseeing all aspects of mechanical maintenance work in strict accordance with company procedures and HSEQ policy. This role involves leading Workshop Technicians and personnel to adhere to company quality procedures and standards, while promoting a “OneTeam” culture and continuous development within the workshop.
Strong mechanical maintenance background with a high degree of technical proficiency.
Completed a recognised apprenticeship or training program in a technical discipline to a minimum of a NVQ qualification (or equivalent nationally recognised).
Experience in leading and mentoring a team of technicians.
You will also need the ability to drive continuous improvement and efficiency in a workshop environment.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
