Job Role: Workshop/Fleet Manager – Hybrid Contract Role

Pay: £60,000 - £65,000 DOE

Hours: M-F 7-4 / 8-5 (40 hrs)

Shift: Days

Contract: 6 / 12 Month FTC (potential to go permanent)

Are you an experienced Workshop Manager or Fleet Manager with a strong tools and maintenance background? Do you thrive in hands-on roles, leading teams, and keeping operations running smoothly? We have an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic recycling company on a hybrid contract basis. This role has the potential to go permanent for the successful candidate (to be discussed at interview)

As our Workshop & Fleet Manager, you will oversee the maintenance and management of our fleet and workshop operations. This is a key role where your technical expertise and leadership skills will directly impact efficiency, safety, and the sustainability of our operations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage workshop operations, ensuring all maintenance work is completed efficiently.
  • Oversee fleet management, including scheduling, servicing, and compliance.
  • Manage a team of technicians, drivers, and workshop staff.
  • Ensure all tools, equipment, and vehicles are maintained to high standards.
  • Implement processes and improvements to optimise workshop and fleet performance.
Qualifications / Skills
  • Strong tools and mechanical background essential.
  • Previous experience in workshop or fleet management roles.
  • Experience within the recycling, refuse, or waste sector is highly beneficial but not essential.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site management with administrative responsibilities.
