Job summary

A recruitment consultancy is seeking a static Workshop Engineer in Essex to maintain and repair plant equipment. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Work on rollers, compactors, and diesel engines.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers and report to the engineering manager.
  • Conduct pre-delivery inspections on equipment.
  • Log materials and work accurately.

Workshop engineer

Mon-fri days

£15-£18 / hour

We're looking for a static workshop engineer to join the engineering team in maintaining and repairing plant equipment. The role is Mon-fri days, with overtime paid at an enhanced rate. The right candidate will receive continued training and development, and will be considered for internal promotions as they present themselves.

Roles / Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  • Work on rollers, compactors and diesel engines
  • Work alongside a team of four engineers and report into the engineering manager
  • Carry out pre-delivery inspections on equipment
  • Accurately log materials and work
What We're Looking For
  • Engineering experience in a plant environment
  • Familiarity with rollers, compactors and diesel engines
  • Electro‑mechanical knowledge and experience on pneumatic / hydraulic equipment
  • Engineering qualifications are beneficial but not a requirement!
