Job summary

A non-profit educational organization in South Wales is seeking an individual to support the delivery of STEM activities in primary and secondary schools. This full-time role (Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm) offers starting pay of £25,000 pro rata, depending on experience. Responsibilities include preparing resources, attending events, and assisting with documentation. Applicants should have teamwork skills, organizational abilities, and preferably some experience working with young people. Occasional travel and overnight stays required.

  • Ability to assist in physical tasks related to event setup.

Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of STEM activities to pupils in both primary and secondary schools across South Wales as part of the Activity Delivery team
  • Prepare equipment and resources for activity delivery as necessary
  • Assist in the collection and processing of documentation including registration forms and questionnaires
  • Attend events as part of the team to promote activities
  • Attend team and activity deliverer meetings when required
  • Assist with other strands and activities when required
  • Any other duties as required by the Activity Manager and/or CEO
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Organisational skills
  • Physically able to lift small boxes of kit and other resources for events and workshops
  • Any experience of working with young people or in the education sector will be beneficial
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Able to drive and own a car for travelling to schools across South Wales
  • Looking for an opportunity to work with young people and potentially fill an Activity Deliverer role
  • Ability to speak and deliver through the medium of Welsh
  • Experience of or ability to learn programming/coding skills
  • The post will require you to undergo an enhanced DBS check and travel to schools across Wales as required
Additional Information

This may include occasional overnight stays.

The role also includes delivery to schools in Ceredigion, so travel and occasional overnight stays will be required.

Full time hours Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm. Starting £25,000 pro rata depending on experience. Contract until 30th June 2026.
