A leading transportation company in Glasgow is seeking a Workshop Controller to oversee workshop operations, manage a team, and ensure high-quality service and productivity. Ideal candidates will have relevant qualifications and experience in a commercial vehicle workshop. This role offers a competitive salary of up to £45,000 plus additional benefits including a company bonus and pension scheme.
Salary: Up to £45,000 p.a. + company bonus + company van
Shifts: Monday to Friday - 0700hrs to 1515hrs (some flexibility required)

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a driven, well organised and motivated Workshop Controller to play a crucial role at our Glasgow West depot. Your responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
You will hold City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 in heavy vehicle or equivalent and have previous experience of supervising in a commercial vehicle workshop. You will be knowledgeable in VOSA requirements, MOT Testers manual, Warranty and Contract scope and procedures, workshop KPIs and understand Operators License Laws and Regulations.
You will require experience of leading a team, with the ability to motivate, coach, guide others in their objectives. Having excellent written and verbal communication skills is a strong requirement, as well as having the ability to work daily with spreadsheets and in-house IT systems, to be able to manage productive man hours and unsold man hours.
You must be able to work in an organised and methodical manner, ensuring all daily tasks are completed. Finally, you should be able to modify your approach in specific circumstances to ensure a positive outcome and able to understand & analyse operational issues & propose appropriate solutions.
