Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Workshop Labourer in Thurso to support the workshop team and help maintain an efficient garage operation. Salary £13.85 per hour. Shift: Day Shift, 40 hours per week with weekends on rotation. Overtime is available and optional.

We welcome candidates with or without previous workshop experience who are committed to health & safety and able to work as part of a team. A UK driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous workshop/engineering experience preferred but not essential.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
• Full UK Driving Licence would be preferred.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Promote and adhere to Health & Safety policies.
• Assist Technicians and Engineers with general workshop duties.
• Keep the workshop, stores and surrounding areas clean and tidy.
• Move tools, equipment and parts around the workshop.
• Assist with the preparation of buses and vehicles for maintenance.
• Clean and maintain workshop equipment.
• Load and unload deliveries.
• Carry out small maintenance and DIY repairs.
• Maintain and decorate buildings, including offices and workspaces.
• Dispose of waste and used materials in accordance with company procedures.
• Carry out general housekeeping duties across the PSV garage.
• Any additional tasks specified by the Management team.
