A leading truck dealership is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for night shifts in Birtley. Responsibilities include vehicle collection and delivery within the local area, occasional road testing, and general workshop duties. Qualifications

• You must hold a valid UK Class 1 licence category C+E (ideally clean).
• Any mechanical/workshop knowledge would be an advantage but not essential.

• Collection/delivery of vehicles to customers within Birtley.
• Road testing of vehicles when necessary.
• General workshop caretaker duties when not driving.

Responsibilities

• Collection / delivery of vehicles from / to customers within Birtley and the surrounding area. Ad hoc longer journeys to other Ford & Slater dealerships.
• Occasional road testing of vehicles (subject to licence restrictions).
• Steam cleaning Trucks.
• General Workshop caretaker duties when not driving.
• Working Tuesday to Friday, 7pm - 7am.

Requirements

• You must hold a valid UK Class 1 licence category C+E (ideally clean).
• Be a customer focused individual with excellent communication skills.
• Any mechanical / workshop knowledge would be an advantage but not essential.
• PC Literate.

We currently have an exciting position as an HGV Class 1 Driver C+E (Collection and Delivery) to work night shift in the fantastic team at our DAF Trucks dealership in Birtley.

Hourly rate up to £14ph (depending on your Class 1 driving experience).
