After qualifying period

Please note this role will be based full time at our Head Office in Chandlers Ford.

About the Role

Working as our Workshop/Aftersales Technician your role will include:

  • Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing a wide variety of tools and domestic products, including hand tools, power tools, electrical and battery-operated equipment, domestic products sold within our range and brand ranges.
  • Carrying out routine maintenance and safety checks on returned and serviced products.
  • Working with warranty and outside warranty claims, providing accurate assessments and repair reports.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment despite a busy, high-volume workshop.
  • Keeping accurate records of repairs, parts used, and turnaround times.
  • Liaising with the sales and customer service teams to provide technical support and aftersales assistance.
Requirements

Skills required:

  • Proven experience in repairing and servicing tools, power tools, or similar equipment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload in a busy environment.
  • Practical problem-solving ability with a hands-on approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Experience in wholesale or retail tool businesses.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of PAT testing and UK electrical safety standards.
  • Qualifications in mechanical/electrical engineering or a related trade.
  • Strong computer literacy.
