Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Workplace Experience Host at our Cambridge site to deliver a professional, welcoming front-of-house experience for employees and visitors. You will manage reception tasks, support facilities services, and coordinate meetings and events, ensuring seamless daily operations.

This role requires strong customer service, multi-tasking, and cultural awareness to engage with international guests. A proactive, team-oriented approach and familiarity with MS Office are essential.

  • Experience in customer-facing, hospitality, reception, facilities or workplace environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay calm in a busy environment.
  • Cultural awareness and confidence interacting with international visitors and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional, welcoming and customer-focused front-of-house experience.
  • Support the IFM Manager in delivering contracted facilities management services and maintaining high service standards.
  • Manage helpdesk requests and ensure queries and issues are followed up and resolved promptly.
  • Coordinate visitor management and ensure reception and workplace areas are maintained to a high standard.
  • Support meeting room management, including bookings, room readiness and AV coordination.
  • Assist with hospitality services, events and special functions, including room set-up and clear-down.
  • Support access badge production, including issuing and deleting badges as required.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, landlords, contractors, suppliers and other service providers.
  • Support international visitors and guests, demonstrating cultural awareness and clear communication.
  • Identify and report workplace hazards and support Health & Safety compliance.
  • Maintain workplace documentation, records and compliance information.
  • Support emergency response, business continuity and Health & Safety initiatives.
  • Act as a key point of contact for workplace and facilities enquiries when the IFM Manager is absent.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help identify opportunities to enhance the workplace experience.
  • Undertake reasonable ad-hoc duties in support of the client and management team.

Location: Cambridge, CB4 0FJ
Contract: 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
Rate of Pay: £15.00 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for a professional, proactive and customer-focused Workplace Experience Host to join our FM Operations team at our prestigious site in Cambridge.

As a Workplace Experience Host, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming, professional and seamless workplace experience for employees, visitors, international guests, suppliers and stakeholders. You will be a key point of contact for workplace and facilities-related enquiries, supporting the effective day-to-day operation of the site and working closely with the IFM Manager and wider facilities team.

This is a varied, people-focused role where no two days are the same. You will need to be highly organised, adaptable and confident managing multiple priorities while maintaining excellent service standards.
