Job description

Search Consultancy are looking for an experienced Working Supervisor / Foreman for an immediate start in Wallasey, Wirral.

• Water civils project
• Waste water Treatment Works
• 10 hours per day
• Free parking

Duties will include:

• Supervision & Leadership:
• Directly supervise and coordinate sub-contractors and direct labour, ensuring a safe and productive working environment.
• Lead daily toolbox talks and ensure all site personnel understand their tasks and safety briefings.
• Motivate the team to achieve high standards of workmanship and programme deadlines.
• Planning & Coordination:
• Assist the Site Manager in the planning and sequencing of work activities.
• Manage the allocation of plant, equipment, and materials for the day’s work.
• Monitor progress against the programme and report back to the Site Manager.
• Health, Safety & Environment:
• Champion a culture of "Safety First" on site.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with company and statutory HSEQ regulations.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with method statements and risk assessments.
• Quality Control:
• Carry out regular quality checks to ensure work meets the project specifications and drawings.
• Maintain accurate site records, including diaries, allocation sheets, and inspection records.

Candidates will require:

• Proven experience in a similar hands‑on supervisory role on civil engineering projects (e.g., groundworks, drainage, highways, utilities).
• A strong, in-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation (SMSTS qualification is essential).
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse site team.
• A practical, problem‑solving mindset with a keen eye for detail and quality.
• CSCS Card at Supervisor/Manager level.
• First Aid at Work qualification.
• Full UK Driver's Licence.
