Job summary

A leading civil engineering company in the United Kingdom is seeking a Working Foreman to manage small projects and supervise site operatives. The successful candidate will have experience in civil engineering, be CSCS certified, and hold a clean UK driving license. This role involves conducting site inspections, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience on small civil engineering projects, ideally with structures.
• CSCS card and First Aid certification required.
• Temporary Works knowledge is a plus.
• Must be computer literate.
• Clean UK Driving License is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Carry out and record site inspections.
• Ensure all works are in line with approved method statements.
• Conduct and amend risk assessments and deliver toolbox talks.
• Ensure completion of works on time and within budget.
• Schedule and supervise daily activities of site operatives.
• Share knowledge with teams.
• Ensure all required documentation is completed.

With over 40 years experience, they deliver a variety of projects, included but not limited to:

• Section 278 works
• Small infrastructure
• Bridges
• RC structures

With a solid order book and a lot of repeat business, they pride themselves on delivering schemes to clients satisfaction.

Key Duties

• Carry out and record site inspections
• Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements
• Conduct and amend risk assessments and deliver toolbox talks/briefings
• Ensure the completion of works on time and within budget
• Schedule, co-ordinate and supervise the daily activities of gangs/site operatives
• Share and pass on knowledge to teams
• Ensure gangs/site operatives complete all required documentation

Qualifications

• Experience on small civil engineering projects – structures ideally
• CSCS, First Aid
• Temporary Works (not essential)
• Computer literate
• Clean UK Driving License
