A leading UK food manufacturer is seeking a senior Workforce Management Programme Lead to drive the implementation of a new Time & Attendance solution. This role is pivotal in shaping HR operations, ensuring compliance, and enhancing productivity across the business. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in workforce management systems within multi-site environments and will possess strong leadership and analytical skills.
Location: Leeds or Worksop (hybrid working, with nationwide travel)
Contract: 2 years fixed term
We’re one of the UK’s largest food manufacturers, employing over 14,000 colleagues across 16 manufacturing units and 17 distribution depots nationwide. We supply all the UK’s major food retailers with everything from sandwiches, soups and sushi to cooking sauces, pickles and ready meals—and in FY24 we generated revenues of £1.8bn.
Our purpose is simple: to make every day taste better.
Greencore is in the middle of a significant transformation of how we plan, schedule and pay our colleagues across a complex, shift-based, multi-site operation. We’re looking for a senior Workforce Management Programme Lead to own the delivery of a new Time & Attendance / Workforce Management (WFM) solution end-to-end – from design and build through to rollout, adoption and benefits realisation.
This is not a generic HR project role. You’ll be the person who joins the dots between HR, Operations, Finance, IT and our sites to land a robust labour model, accurate scheduling and compliant, efficient T&A processes at scale.
You’ll be accountable for leading the T&A / WFM programme across Greencore’s UK footprint. In practice, that means:
You’re an HR / people-side transformation leader who has actually delivered WFM and T&A systems in environments that look like ours (i.e. food manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, large-scale retail or similar)
You’ll bring:
Experience with specific platforms such as Kronos, UKG, Dayforce, Infor, Blue Yonder, Workbrain, SAP, Workday or similar will be a strong advantage, as will experience working within a transformation office or PMO structure. CIPD or equivalent is helpful but not essential if your WFM/T&A track record is strong.
You must be based within a reasonable commute of Leeds (LS1) or Worksop (S80) and willing to travel regularly to sites across the UK. Right to work in the UK for the full 2-year fixed-term is essential.
What you’ll get in return
Throughout your time at Greencore, you will be supported with on the job training and development opportunities to further your career.
If you’re energised by complex workforce challenges and want to shape how a £2bn business manages time, labour and productivity at scale, we’d love to hear from you.
