Unilever in Sunlight House Kingston is seeking a Workforce & Agentic Planning Manager to lead the strategic workforce planning function, aligning business strategy with finance cycles, skills, capacity, automation and token-based workforce dimensions.

You will develop AI-enabled planning tools and planning agents to help leaders and People teams compare scenarios, quantify trade-offs and support informed workforce decisions.

Qualifications

  • Experience designing planning processes and scenario models for senior leaders.
  • Hands-on AI-enabled planning with guardrails and prompt design.
  • Strong business sense of workforce costs and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and continuous improvement of Unilever’s strategic workforce planning capability, connected to business and Finance planning cycles.
  • Co-design one joined-up annual and strategic planning process with Finance, linking workforce, capacity, skills, cost, productivity and financial outcomes.
  • Build artificial intelligence-enabled planning tools and agents for capacity forecasting, skills gap analysis, automation impact, option generation and decision support.
  • Translate business strategy into workforce scenarios across full-time equivalent, skills, location, reskilling, automation, agent capacity and token economics.
  • Set planning quality standards — assumptions, data inputs, scenario logic, evidence, guardrails and human review points.
  • Ensure planning outputs connect into hiring, internal movement, learning, organisation design, automation and cost management.
  • Specify data and agent requirements with Foundations and Global Digital and Technology, drawing on the shared workforce data foundation rather than building parallel planning sources.

Primary focus: Artificial intelligence-enabled strategic workforce planning, finance-linked scenarios, skills and capacity modelling, and agent/token economics as a workforce dimension

Role Overview

Leads Unilever’s future-focused strategic workforce planning capability, bringing business strategy, Finance cycles, skills, capacity, automation and agentic workforce dimensions into one decision process. The role builds artificial intelligence-enabled tools and planning agents that help leaders, People teams and Finance compare scenarios, quantify trade-offs and make better workforce choices.

Key Accountabilities

Required Capabilities & Experience
  • Strategic workforce planning, capacity modelling and skills planning expertise, including human and agent-enabled capacity.
  • Strong commercial grasp of workforce cost, productivity, financial planning and business outcomes.
  • Ability to design planning processes, decision frameworks and scenario models that leaders and Finance partners can use intuitively.
  • Hands-on artificial intelligence and agentic planning literacy — scenario logic, prompt design, quality benchmarking, guardrails and responsible use.
  • Product mindset and stakeholder influence to turn expert planning into scalable tools, workflows and routines.

  • Major workforce decisions use planning outputs rather than ad hoc analysis.
  • Business strategies produce workforce plans with capacity, skills, cost, agent capacity and token economics quantified.
  • Agent-generated scenarios meet agreed quality benchmarks against specialist-run scenarios.
