Job description

We are looking for a motivated, skilled Employability Tutor to help deliver work skills and basic IT in a fast‑paced environment to help the unemployed get into work.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver work skills and basic IT training to unemployed adults.
  • Support learners in developing employability and job‑search skills.
  • Prepare and plan lessons, assess learner progress, and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with college staff and external agencies to enhance learner outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 teaching or training qualification.
  • Experience teaching adults.
  • Strong communication and lesson preparation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Employment details:

  • 22.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
  • Southend and Thurrock campuses.
