Job summary

The Wolseley Group in Warwick is seeking a Workday Specialist to own day-to-day configuration, administration and optimisation of Workday within HR systems, ensuring data integrity and a great user experience.

You will work with HR, IT and external partners to deliver enhancements, releases and integrations, manage data loads and reporting, and maintain system documentation and audit controls for compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience configuring, administering and supporting Workday in HRIS/Workday Specialist roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Workday processes, security, organisations, reporting and mass data loading (EIBs).
  • Experience delivering system enhancements, releases and continuous improvement in Workday.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills translating requirements into solutions.
  • Experience working with HR, IT and external vendors on projects and issues.
  • Strong data management, reporting and systems analysis focused on accuracy and governance.

Responsibilities

  • Leading Workday system changes from requirements gathering and configuration through testing, training and deployment, ensuring successful delivery and user adoption.
  • Working closely with HR, IT and third-party partners to deliver Workday enhancements, releases and integrations and project activity, including support for organisational changes and acquisitions.
  • Managing data loads, reporting and business process configuration to ensure efficient and compliant HR operations.
  • Creating and maintaining system documentation, governance frameworks and audit controls to support compliance, accuracy and continuous improvement across the business.

As a Workday Specialist based in Warwick you’ll be responsible for:

  • Owning the day-to-day configuration, administration and optimisation of Workday, ensuring data integrity, system effectiveness and an excellent user experience.
  • Acting as the subject matter expert for Workday, supporting HR teams with system queries, troubleshooting issues and identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.

This role is a full time, permanent position, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 08:00am - 17:00pm

And here’s what we’d like you to have:
  • Demonstrable hands‑on experience configuring, administering and supporting Workday within a HR Systems, HRIS, People Systems or Workday Specialist role.
  • Strong knowledge of Workday business processes, security, organisations, reporting and mass data loading (EIBs).
  • Experience delivering system enhancements, releases and continuous improvement initiatives within Workday.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective system solutions.
  • Experience working with HR, IT and external vendors to deliver projects and resolve complex system issues.
  • Strong data management, reporting and systems analysis skills, with a focus on accuracy, governance and user experience.
