About the role

This role is part of the Finance Technology Platforms team, reporting to the Manager, Finance Technology Platforms. The team's purpose is to enable the Finance Team to deliver on Checkout.com’s objectives through system implementations, process re‑engineering, and operating model design. As an Engineer you will manage key financial systems, including Workday (with Adaptive Planning), Zip, Emburse Enterprise, Boomi, and Coupa, provide Application Management Support (AMS), and partner with key users to improve the systems. You will also support Finance Transformation initiatives based on your experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide AMS services, including incident and release management, end‑user training, creating online help documents, vendor coordination, and testing.
• Manage user subscriptions.
• Support broader Finance Transformation initiatives, which may involve working with software implementation partners, process mapping, control assessment, process automation, and policy creation.
• Communicate effectively with direct stakeholders, knowing when to seek assistance and return with a clear answer.
• Analyze data to make recommendations and informed decisions.
• Deliver well‑defined, task‑level work within your team.
• Consistently display a willingness to accept guidance and proactively learn from others.

Qualifications

• Technical acumen with hands‑on experience configuring technical solutions.
• Financial qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Experience using or supporting enterprise financial systems, with operational finance experience in AP, P2P, and Expense functions.
• Good base‑level understanding of Finance Technology concepts and practices.
• Ability to deliver small to medium‑sized tasks and take responsibility for the quality of your work.
• Strong understanding of integration approaches.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent at communicating to stakeholders and team members to identify issues and propose solutions.
• Ability to identify problems, define the root cause, determine the solution, and propose the solution.
• Ability to translate technical expertise into solutions and process guidance to implement improvements or address user issues.

Additional experience preferred

• Experience with VBA or SQL.
• Experience with low‑code integration platforms.
• Experience in the administration of systems such as Zip, Emburse, Workday, or Adaptive.
