Job summary

A leading tech recruitment firm is seeking a Workday Cutover & Testing Lead for a remote position in the UK. This role involves taking ownership of testing governance and cutover delivery for a global organization's Workday Accelerated programme. Key responsibilities include managing E2E testing cycles, producing scripts, providing testing status, and leading the cutover strategy. The ideal candidate will have proven Workday testing experience and strong stakeholder management skills. This contract is initially for 4 months, starting on January 5, 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Workday testing and cutover projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage E2E testing cycles.
• Understanding of integration-heavy Workday releases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and refine the E2E Test Strategy and Test Plan for Phase 2.
• Manage E2E testing cycles, resourcing, coordination and readiness criteria.
• Oversee script production, execution tracking and defect triage/governance.
• Provide clear testing status and Go/No-Go readiness recommendations.
• Create and own the Cutover Strategy and Runbook.
• Lead readiness activity, rehearsals and final cutover/go-live execution.
• Support transition into hypercare with structured handover.

Workday Cutover & Testing Lead (Launch) - Contract

• Duration: 4 months initial
• Start: 5th January 2026
• Location: Remote (UK) with occasional/rare travel to London
• IR35: Outside

We're supporting a global organisation moving into Phase 2 of a Workday Accelerated/Launch programme following a successful Phase 1 go-live. We require an experienced Workday Cutover & E2E Testing Lead to take full ownership of testing governance and cutover delivery through Phase 2.

Responsibilities

• Own and refine the E2E Test Strategy and Test Plan for Phase 2.
• Manage E2E testing cycles, resourcing, coordination and readiness criteria.
• Oversee script production, execution tracking and defect triage/governance.
• Provide clear testing status and Go/No-Go readiness recommendations.
• Create and own the Cutover Strategy and Runbook.
• Lead readiness activity, rehearsals and final cutover/go-live execution.
• Support transition into hypercare with structured handover.

Essential Experience

• Proven Workday testing and cutover lead background on contract/consulting programmes.
• Strong Workday Launch/Accelerated Launch delivery experience.
• Hands-on ownership of E2E testing (strategy, execution, reporting).
• Strong understanding of Workday integrations and validation through testing/cutover.
• Confident stakeholder management and readiness reporting.

Desirable

• Phase 2/post-go-live extension programmes.
• Integration-heavy Workday releases.
