A local government authority in Coventry is seeking an adult educator to deliver high-quality Leadership and Management programmes. The role involves planning and reporting on courses, providing inclusive learning experiences for diverse communities, and collaborating with a supportive team. Ideal candidates should possess a Level 3 teaching qualification and a strong understanding of equity and inclusion. We are looking for a passionate and experienced adult educator to join our dynamic team and help shape the next generation of leaders. If you thrive on inspiring others, delivering high‑quality learning, and supporting diverse communities, this is the role for you. You will design, plan, deliver and report on Leadership, Management and Team Leading programmes, including apprenticeships. Delivery will take place online and face‑to‑face in a variety of settings, supporting both existing and new partnerships. You will join a supportive team of experienced tutors committed to excellence in teaching, learning and assessment, with opportunities for professional development and CPD.
All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role. This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the appointment will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory DBS check.

The Adult Education Service is part of Coventry City Council. We provide a wide range of courses for Coventry residents aged 19+ and much of our provision is targeted at people with the highest levels of need. We offer long courses in English, maths, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), ICT/Digital and vocational subjects such as Early Years, along with provision for adults with learning disabilities. We also offer a very wide range of short community courses in arts, crafts, music, dance, exercise, fitness and family learning. In addition, we run a highly supportive study programme for young people. Our work‑based learning offer includes apprenticeships in the following subject areas: Nursery Workers, Teaching Assistants, Leadership/Management, and Customer Care. We also provide courses for adults who are seeking work via the Council's Job Shop.
Our main base is at Southfields Old School, CV1 5EJ, with provision delivered at around 25 other sites within Coventry, mostly in areas of highest need.
