Job summary

East Surrey College (Redhill) and John Ruskin College (Croydon) are hiring a Work Placement and Employer Engagement Officer to source work experience placements and manage employer relationships. The role supports 16–18 learners, coordinates with curriculum teams, and monitors learner progress across campuses.

The position requires Maths & English GCSEs, strong administration and communication skills, and a valid driving licence for travel between campuses.

Qualifications

• Maths & English GCSE / Level 2 equivalent required.
• Strong administration and communication skills essential.
• Experience in seeking new placement and work-related project leads.
• Experience developing relationships with employers to support business growth.
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to use own transport between campuses.
• Equality & Diversity Level 2 or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Source extended work experience placements for learners on different programmes.
• Act as the main point of contact for work experience and project enquiries within the College group.
• Plan timings and structure of placements and monitor learner progress.
• Maintain day-to-day communication with employers and learners; support placement events.
• Collaborate with Business Development and Curriculum teams to engage employers.
