Work Placement Co-ordinator

Fixed-term (Maternity Cover) – January 2026 for 12 months

37 hours per week, term time only (part-time considered)

Pro rata £29,554.61 – £31,548.61 per annum

(10% completion bonus at end of contract)

Reed Further Education is seeking a proactive and motivated Temporary Work Placement Co-ordinator to join an outstanding Sixth Form College. This role is central to supporting students on T Levels, Transition programmes and CDF pathways by securing high-quality industry placements that enhance their technical skills and workplace behaviours.

You will work closely with curriculum teams, support staff and employers to arrange and monitor meaningful placements, ensuring compliance with safeguarding and health & safety requirements. Supporting students, including those with SEND/LLDD needs, is a key part of the role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employers to secure work placements.
  • Prepare students for the workplace and monitor progress through visits and reviews.
  • Ensure accurate records of placements and employer engagement.
  • Collaborate with teaching and support staff to develop systems and processes.
  • Promote equality, diversity and uphold the ethos of the College.
About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised, with strong administrative and IT skills.
  • Experienced in employer engagement, sales or marketing.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
  • Flexible, with a ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to occasionally work outside normal hours.

Essential:

  • Degree or equivalent experience.
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (A*-C / 9-4).
  • Full driving licence and access to transport.

Desirable:

  • Experience with T Levels or academic placements.
  • Event organisation experience.
