Work Experience Programme Coordinator – Tees Valley Careers Hub

The Tees Valley Careers Hub raises aspirations, connects young people with high-quality careers guidance and experience, and ensures local education establishments link with employers and jobs. We believe young people should 'Stay Local Go Far' and are committed to helping them access opportunities in our growth sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Work directly with a caseload of schools, supporting those with the greatest need using benchmark data, Education Insights data, and indicators of disadvantage.
  • Support modernisation of the wider system, developing strategy and activity around demand, supply quality and process of work experiences, and convene key players.
  • Lead and build foundations to inform future working and approach.
  • Support a joined‑up approach based on evidence.
  • Mobilise employers (particularly from growth sectors) and providers to create meaningful work experience opportunities, identifying challenges and best practice.
  • Consider procurement and social value in a modernised WEX system.
