A leading vocational education institution in Scotland is seeking a Work Based Assessor for Carpentry and Joinery. This fixed-term role involves conducting work-based assessments, maintaining documentation, and developing industry links. Ideal candidates should have a relevant qualification in carpentry and possibly assessor/verifier qualifications. The role offers up to 35 hours per week, with flexibility catering to self-employed individuals. A driving licence and a willingness to travel are essential for this position.

Fixed term for 3 months, variable hours.
Up to 35 hours per week for the first 4 weeks after appointment, variable thereafter.
Salary: £32,528 - £35,721 per annum (pay award pending).
UHI Perth is one of Scotland’s leading Colleges of Further and Higher Education, and a large partner in Scotland’s newest University, the University of the Highlands and Islands.
The role will involve conducting work-based assessments and maintaining appropriate supporting documentation for candidates undertaking vocational qualifications; developing industry and employer links and generating new business for the college.
Variable hours up to 35 hours per week, providing a variety of working hour options, potentially suited to someone self-employed, with an ability to work part of the week with UHI Perth.
First term is 3 months; extension is possible but not guaranteed.
