Work Area Manager – Night Shift

Salary: £39,069 – £41,982 (dependent on experience), 10% bonus potential, 25 days annual leave and generous pension scheme. Full time, Permanent.

Location: Croydon Mail Centre, Beddington Farm Road, Croydon, CR9 4AA.

Shift

Saturday to Wednesday, 22:00 – 06:00. Flexibility required.

What does the role involve?
  • Lead a dedicated team of full and part‑time employees.
  • Hold regular one‑to‑one and team meetings.
  • Review area performance and plans daily.
  • Champion health and safety initiatives.
  • Increase efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support the Shift Manager to maintain high quality service and meet operational targets.
  • Manage sick & absence, attendance, training and development.
  • Lead continuous improvement programmes.
