Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a warm, thoughtful, and confident nanny to care for a 10-month-old baby in Witham, Essex. This wonderful family is seeking an energetic, fun, and down‑to‑earth nanny who can provide consistent, nurturing support for their baby. If you have a genuine love for working with children, this could be the perfect role for you.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for providing attentive, loving care to the baby. Your role includes full nursery duties, and you will need to provide the child with healthy, balanced meals. You will manage all of the baby’s physical care needs, including bottle‑feeding, sterilising and preparing bottles, and ensuring the baby is well‑fed, comfortable, and content. Additional duties include engaging the baby in age‑appropriate play, going for walks, attending local groups, and planning outings to encourage early learning and socialisation. Occasional opportunity to accompany the family on business trips, all expenses paid.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a nanny
• 12‑hour Paediatric First Aid certificate
• Enhanced DBS (update) certificate
• Level 3 Childcare qualification (baby experience advantageous)
• At least 2 professional referees, including current or former employer, immediately contactable
• Up‑to‑date enhanced eDBS certificate and appropriate personal insurance recommended

Work Details

• Location: Witham, Essex
• Hours: Monday – Wednesday: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm; Thursday: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm; Friday: 3 hours (timing to be confirmed)
• Days: Monday – Friday
• Start date: January 2026
• Pay: £18 gross per hour / £29,952.00 gross per annum
