Job description

A rare and exciting opportunity has become available for a highly creative and forward-thinking Womenswear Designer to join a renowned fashion business. In this role, you will identify emerging trends, create commercially successful and directional multi-product collections, and take the lead across the full design lifecycle, from initial concept through to sample development.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a visionary designer with strong commercial awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and external partners. Main responsibilities will include:

• Research seasonal trends and develop inspiring trend and concept boards for showroom ranges and client presentations
• Design innovative, trend-led womenswear collections with a strong emphasis on day/evening dresses, bridal, and tailored pieces
• Source cost-effective, production-ready fabrics aligned with seasonal direction and customer needs
• Lead team design meetings, presenting ideas, reviewing sketches, and coordinating fabric development
• Communicate daily with factories, delivering clear tech packs and overseeing sample development
• Conduct monthly sourcing of new fabrics, techniques, and trims from mills and factories
• Participate in seasonal international sourcing and development trips.

Person Specification:

• Proven experience in womenswear design, with a compelling multi-product portfolio - particularly day and evening dresses
• Strong understanding of trend direction, fabrications, and garment construction
• Excellent sketching skills (hand and digital) and strong technical drawing ability
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Highly organised, able to manage multiple projects and deliver to tight deadlines
• Willingness to travel internationally for sourcing and development
