Job summary

Crystal Palace Football Club is seeking a Women’s Sport Scientist to support performance strategy through applied sport science, monitoring, and data-driven insights for the Women’s first team.

You will work with the Medical & Sports Science Department to monitor players, design return-to-train/return-to-play protocols, and provide data-supported recommendations to reduce injury risk in a fast-paced academy and club environment.

Qualifications

• MSc in Sports and Exercise Science or related discipline.
• Experience as an applied practitioner in elite sport.
• Experience using RStudio and Python for data analysis.
• Experience using data management systems (Smartabase).
• Strong communication with stakeholders and high IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Support monitoring, profiling, and evaluation of Women’s first-team players.
• Assist with monitoring strategies to minimise injury risk and optimise performance.
• Analyse data from technical, tactical, physical sources to provide insights.
• Design and implement return-to-train and return-to-play protocols with the medical team.
• Build relationships with the Medical & Sports Science Department to support operational delivery.
• Keep up-to-date with latest scientific innovations to ensure best practice.
