Job Purpose: The main goal of the First Team Assistant Performance and Recruitment Analyst is to support the Head of Analysis in delivering elite-level analysis of team and player performance for Charlton Athletic Women.

Duties and Responsibilities

Matchday analysis

  • Set up and provide live analysis at selected home and away fixtures.

Performance analysis

  • Provide in-depth video and statistical analysis for training sessions and matches.

Opposition scouting

  • Profile upcoming opponents and create detailed dossiers for the coaching staff.

Player recruitment

  • Aid in the recruitment process through video analysis and player reporting.

Data management

  • Maintain player and team performance databases.

Technology

  • Research and implement new technologies to improve the analysis provision.

Presentation

  • Present compelling video and data content to players and coaches.
Skills Required
  • High proficiency with industry-specific software (e.g., Hudl, Catapult) and data sets (e.g., Statsbomb).
Knowledge Required
  • Significant experience working within a professional football environment, ideally within elite women's football.
  • Ability to align and adapt processes to the current coaching staff's philosophies.
Qualifications Required
  • A degree in Sports Science, Performance Analysis, or a related field is desirable.
Personal Competencies
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and to travel with the team.
  • Personal attributes: Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
