A reputable recruitment agency in Stockport is seeking a Wiring / Assembly Operative for a temporary to permanent role. Job description

Our well-established client based in Stockport, are looking to recruit a Wiring / Assembly Operative to start ASAP on a Temporary to Permanent basis.

Duties include :

Work within small team to deliver on :

Planned production schedule, supporting team members and working to complete all aspects of the final assembly, wiring and testing.

Where required support other teams within assembly department to deliver on overall production schedule

To work safely and efficiently to :

To complete assembly of LED boards, frame assembly, gasketing riveting, inserting glass, plus

To complete fittings assembly, inserting gear tray to body,

To complete first off and SP assemblies as above

To complete wiring of light fittings according to specification

To complete testing of completed light fittings, completing labelling and documentation

To complete the packaging and palletisation of finished products.

To ensure Health and Safety requirements as specified in the company Risk assessment plan are complied with in the production areas.

Ensure the quality of the work, report any non-conforming products to the Cell Leader

Produce a "First Off" and have this approved before commencing the batch.

To work with and support the Cell Leader to develop safe and consistent products and processes.

To ensure the necessary documentation during the manufacturing process is completed as required by our ISO and SAGE system requirements.

To maintain working area and tools / facilities and report any issues to Cell Leader in a timely manner.

To ensure all items of production are positively identified by the correct labelling.

To seek best practice and continual improvement within the Cell.

Maintain adherence to schedules. Working hours :

7.00am to 4.30pm - Monday

7.00am to 4.00pm - Tuesday

7.00am to 3.30pm - Wednesday and Thursday

7.30am to 12.30pm - Friday

2 x 15 minutes breaks & 1 x 30-minute lunch break.

39 hours per week. Additional information :

12 weeks temporary to permanent position for the right candidate.
