A pioneering engineering company in Tewkesbury is seeking a Wires Person who will be responsible for hands-on wiring of control panels and assembling wiring harnesses. The ideal candidate will have experience in electronic equipment assembly, strong attention to detail, and knowledge of wiring standards. Qualifications

  • Previous experience building wiring harnesses and looms.
  • Experience in assembling and wiring electronic equipment and control panels.
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and wiring schedules accurately.
  • Broad knowledge of connector and cable types and electrical components.
  • Understanding of wiring standards such as IPC/WHMA-A-620.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for hands‑on wiring of control panels, assembling wiring harnesses from schematics, and performing quality checks on complex electronic assemblies. Your work will support systems used in everything from deep‑sea exploration to space technology, ensuring they operate safely and reliably 24/7.

Working hours: 07:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday

What You Will Be Doing

Your duties will include wiring equipment and control panels, assembling wiring looms, installing electronic components from detailed drawings, conducting inspections and tests, troubleshooting issues, and updating design documentation. You will collaborate with team members to meet demanding quality standards while maintaining a strong focus on safety and precision.
